The Importance Of Our Skin
Your skin is the largest organ in your body, keeping out invaders too small to see and harmful rays from the sun. The skin helps with temperature stabilisation, prevents dehydration and produces vitamin D.
A multi faceted wonder of human evolution but vulnerable. The reason dermatological concerns are the leading cause of visits to a doctor.
Almost all can be diagnosed and treated by an experienced consultant, whatever their stage. There is still much to be said for early intervention, which makes skin conditions less of a problem and improves outcomes.
Our dermatology clinic provides treatment for eczema, acne, skin cancers and far more. The finest equipment is available, from diagnostic aids, to lasers, or specialist treatment from trusted surgeons.
We simply ask that you recognise the importance of seeking prompt support. Your skin will thank you, along with the body this surrounds and our team will provide tailored care to return you to good health.

A Well Equipped Private Hospital
Our Facilities
The recently refurbished Royal Buckinghamshire Hospital offers patients first rate facilities. An ideal setting for dermatology treatment, or surgery, backed up by advanced diagnostics.
-
On Site X-ray, Ultrasound and MRI
Having diagnostic options in house is valuable. Not often used for dermatology but ultrasound and MRI scans can help to identify the shape, or spread of skin cancers.
-
State of the Art Surgical Theatres
Knowing that high standards apply for all surgery is reassuring. The fine equipment and technology in our theatres also helps with specialist care, such as Mohs surgery.
-
Exceptional Hospitality
Dermatology patients will rarely use our comfortable, en-suite rooms but they are there if required. As are delicious meals prepared on site, or refreshments for a briefer visit.
Dermatology Consultancy Fees
In most cases, if you are meeting your own costs, you can self refer directly to one of our dermatology consultants. Consultations typically cost between £150 and £250.
Patients using medical insurance should be fine, as all our consultants work within acceptable fee levels.
Consultants at our hospital are renowned, senior physicians or surgeons. They will be on the General Medical Council’s specialist register, along with belonging to professional bodies.
As importantly, they are here because together with their skills and knowledge, they share our patient first ethos.
