Adding To Progress
People spending time with us for rehabilitation often form relationships with our staff. They are helpful but having the support of people close to you can matter more.
Three 2 bedroom flats and two 3 bedroom flats are available to guests. Refurbished to a high standard, to provide the comforts of home.
They are securely located within our grounds and have a room by room fire alarm system. Free parking is available within the hospital car park during your stay.
A modern kitchen with dishwasher is ideal to prepare meals, or meals can be prepared by our chef. Simply order from reception on the morning, or the day before.
You are welcome to eat any meals you wish with the person who is staying with us, rather than in the flat. An ideal time to talk through the achievements of the day.
Arranging To Stay
Stays from one night, to as long as you choose can be booked through reception (email:reception@royalbucks.co.uk). The cost is £95 per person per night, which includes any services:
- Your flat will be cleaned daily.
- Towels and fresh bedding provided
- Tea & coffee supplies replenished
Each flat has been fitted and decorated to suit their use. They are modern, yet relaxing and sit in a peaceful environment.
Knowing that your needs are taken care and travel eliminated allows you to focus on the reason you are there. Giving valuable support to someone you care about.
Why Your Stay Counts
Having visitors in any form is a great boost when you are undergoing residential therapy. Knowing they are on site to share your stay adds another dimension.
This can be especially valuable for the first night or two, perhaps close to discharge, or at other key points. You know the needs of the person involved, which is the core point.
Research into family involvement in residential treatment has shown that people feel less detached from their life. Increased completion rates have been found, greater progress.
You may live not too far away and be able to visit regularly, which is fine and you will be made welcome. Where our guest accommodation can help, this is readily available.
We created our flats to ensure those coming to us were supported as they wish, an asset in their journey to rebuild their lives.
Our Facilities
Our patients and the people who care for them deserve the finest facilities, to ensure effective rehabilitation.
An adjacent hospital
The Royal Bucks rehabilitation centre is separate, although having our hospital in the same building can be helpful. A state of the art facility, with around 60 consultants covering every aspect of medicine.
Advanced technology
Our centre is amongst the best equipped in Europe, with an anti-gravity facility based on NASA designs, varying types of exoskeleton, laser therapy and high tech aids for neurological rehabilitation.
Hydrotherapy pool
An 8.5 metre pool heated to 34 centigrade, with resistance jets for exercise and a jet massage. The pool provides accessibility for all, with slides and hoists built in and is supported by experienced staff .
Skilled Physiotherapy
Physiotherapy is recognised for the value this is able to bring after trauma, or surgery. Where longer term conditions apply, our physios are leaders in the field and play an important role in recovery.
